Brakes for a 2006 X5

My wife's 2006 X5 has 32K on it and the "check brake linings" light has come on. I will replace them myself. I would like a little advice on what pads I should purchase. I can't stand the dust the OEM pads produce. The X5 isn't driven that hard unless I drive it. Any suggestions for replacement pads? Thanks.

You still covered under your new car warranty? These should be replaced under the zero maintenance program for free.

:welcome:

If you use the search function you will find tons of info so you're well prepared for this job. There are many opinions and you can read all about it. Personally, I have been happy with Axxis Deluxe pads.

I bought the car used in November 2008. It is still under warranty. I didn't think about the warranty covering the pads. I'll check with the dealership tomorrow. Excuse my ignorance. Thanks for the information!!
