Alright, I'm pretty sure it is the master cylinder then. I assumed this to begin with, but needed an answer as to why it went out. I'll order a new one tonight and take it to a BMW dealer or BMW Indie shop to have it installed and properly bled. Once again, thanks guys for all the imput and suggestions

Been doing brakes for over 30 years and never heard of anything that you wrote so I'll have to completely disagree.

Alright, one last question. How much should I expect to pay for a brake flush/bled and to install the brake master cylinder? Just want to get an idea so I'm not getting ripped off.

You should bleed the system before you order anything.!!!!!!!!
