Hey, thanks for the concerns. Yes, I'm still kicking around. I had to get the brakes bled and all was well afterwards.

Any updates with your brake problem? Did you end up getting it fixed? What was the solution?

just my little bit of input what i think people mean with regards to fluid going back to the master cylinder as well as the crud going back into it, some suffer from the internal seals flipping hence the opening of the bleed screw when pushing pistons back ,the only weak spot i have noticed on the X5 brakes is where the rear flexi brake pipes are in the plastic cover on the swing arm the steel section rots out but you cant see it till its to late ,anyone not checking there pipes needs to soon as, i have replaced all my flexis with stainless braided.

Which brand of braided stainless brake did you use? Difficult to install?

I went with a custom set from pioneer 4x4 here in the uk ,run by a mate of mine so kit was free as it was early on when he was getting started , very easy to fit did them when i upgraded from my standard 4.4 brakes to the larger ones from the 4.8.
