the only reason why i posted on this site is because i dont know to much about the x5's. thought i could get some info maybe what to look for and what sort of idiosyncrasy's that happen with these cars... due monday when the banks are open this car is mine! the wheels look great on it.. oh and my bad it was 5000CAD for the X with stock wheels and new winter rubber, and a extra 1000 for the beyern 20'' with new rubber..
thanks for the help guys and confidence booster.. i look forward to posting on this site and making this beauty look great!

cheers
-Mitch

I don't really understand why the title wouldn't be clean? I thought you were buying it off a long time family friend and someone you have worked with for awhile? If you know the history of the car and you know the owners that well, than there probably isn't much to worry about.

that's a no brainer for that price.. i just picked up a 2000 4.4i X5with 115K KM's TIAG, with sports package, $18G's. Best purchase i ever did considering i bought an 04 325i black on black in 05 for about 35G's! now a proud owner of 3 bmw's... my next one will definitely be an 2003 m5.

Ya I don't know it all is kind of strange to me. For 5000 you shouldnt have to worry about anything. You could part it out for that price alone. There is just something contridictory about your story that makes me wonder if this is for real, and I'm sorry if I am wrong. I could very well be. But your getting a truck for 5000 that is worth 20,000 that has had 20,000 in repairs that is coming from a well known family friend that you fully trust and yet you are still doing checks and waiting before you buy it, or post pictures. Its good to be careful but...

got the X5 runs good, i have to take a look at the swap bar end links cause there was ome play resulting in the nock..... other than that i put the summer wheels on, fixed the window regulator temporarly with some zip ties..that was a pain in the but. threw a check engine code yesterdaqy afternoon... so i went to my buddies house scanned it.. i think it was p0443 or something.. cant quite remember... but it came up as emissions evap contoll purge valve... i have it written down in the car so i will post later along witrh some pics.... its fun to drive has plenty of power... i will probably hold onto it for a month or so and dump it since i got it for super cheap... get my ass back into a e30 vert
