Information display
It does'nt really matter but it would be nice to change the setings when I get my X back home to the UK, because a US gal is smaller than a UK gal so my MPG calculations will be out a bit.

Any UK dealer over here can do it. I have the software and kit here to do it myself too. It`s as easy as hooking the car up to a laptop with a carsoft interface or a propper BMW garage computer and altering a few settings. Other than the settings in the computer I dont think you can do it without the car hooked up.

Driving around Europe in mine I never bothered as the range can be changed to Km and the consumption also.
Best of luck with the car and hope the link worked out. I'll be in the UK visiting family next April when the weather gets good again and just before I return to the US, probably along with the car as long as this one doesn't get stolen  You should see the car about 5 weeks after you ship it, do you need a shipper reference I have a couple having shipped 2 X's from Long Beach to Rotterdam, I know my shippers boats stop in Thamesmead.
