Removing oem headunit

OK so I got the aux input for my non-dsp non-navigation stereo unit and I tried removing my headunit using the tutorial on the main page but I was having some difficulty. I unscrewed the screw, but it fell out, and I can't seem to remove the unit. Some help would really be appreciated.

Thank You

I have the same problem but no real answers would be helpful if we could get a picture of the mechanism that the screw controls.

not a screw, just a clip, turn 90 degress or whatever then pull out. i dont think you can unscrew it, if you did id imagine that you'd have to do a little work to get it out now, then fix the clip.

It's an internal mechanism, kinda like a door knob. You turn it 90 degrees and it pulls the latch in to release it. Once turned 90 degrees you should hit a point of resistance, that should give you enough hold to gently pull out with the driver and take the unit with it. Otherwise you may need to sneak behind it with a screwdriver to gently pry when turned 90 degrees.

I honestly don't know what to tell you as I've never seen that particular problem... I wish I knew the internal design of the catch, but
