New wheels for project X
Hello all,
I wanted to share with you the latest addition to project X. As many of you know I have been looking at replacing my wheels for some time now. I have seriously looked at over a 20 different manufactures including Kinesis, Gianelle, Beyern, Avarus, BBS and many others. I will admit I probably spent the past 16 months looking at my options. I have touch fitted 9 different wheels over that time frame and finally I found exactly what I was looking for! I had been working with Bob at Eurowheelsgallery.com he showed me a few pictures of the Miro 346 V-2 Attack which looks allot like the stock M-6 wheel with minor changes. I had some concerns regarding the inside diameter and clearance issues with my front brake rotors and calipers. He then put me in touch with the guys at Alt Wheels the distributor for Miro. They are located in Brea, Ca. I set up some time to stop by and Ez at Alt Wheels took the time to touch fits 4-5 wheels on my X including the Miro 346 V-2 Attack. I was interested in running the same width wheel front and rear as I have done in the past. It really helps lengthen the life span of what ever tires I run. He said no problem. I asked if I could inspect each wheel he brought out a pallet of wheels all 20"x10" and said here you go. I went through the six wheels to find four that were PERFECT! I felt like a kid at christmas...... I was able to complete the transaction within 45 minutes and left with wheels. They also referred me to a local shop that specialized in aftermarket BMW tuner Bavarian Exclusive without an appointment and at 4:45 in the afternoon they put my X on the rack and separated my old wheels and tires and spun each of the new wheels to check for defects, each wheel was less then .25 ounce from each other and none of the mounted wheels took more then .75 ounces of weight to balance them. I had a very good experience and would highly recommend working with Bob at Eurowheelsgallery.com FYI... I also have the wheels I pulled off the X for sale if anyone is interested. They are a hybrid set of (2) OEM style 87's and (2) after market style 87's all four are 20"x10" PM me for additional info...... bf |

Thanks I for input, I dig them too. I'm still getting used to them after having stock wheels on for the past several years. It's amazing how a making a small change can modify how the whole vehicle looks. bf |

315 all the way??
It looks like you are running 315 tire all four corners.
are there any negative effect to that set up? |
