replacing brake caliper
Mostly I am looking for some direction on disconnecting the brake line? Or maybe its just so simple no one has addressed it? Just thought I would ask before I got to that step! Thanks! |

Should be straight forward and simple. Just don't let too much fluid leak out during the change (maybe get some hose pinch pliers). Then once installed open the bleeder valve and un-crimp the line, let it do a "gravity bleed" until fluid comes out. (keeping up with the DOT 4 brake fluid in the reservoir) Then the standard pump/hold bleed with a helper a couple times and you should be done.
Nice and easy job as long as you don't let an air pocket form and get to the DSC unit... then it is dealer for electronic activation while system is pressurized.

Thanks for the advice...a bit tough to get the hose off the old caliper, but other than that, install went well!
