where to get the elusive Shell M-1375.4 ???
I've read endless threads on transmission fluid changes, and I know that my 2004 X5 with the ZF 6HP26 transmission takes the Shell M-1375.4
In all the research I've done, I've never found a source for the Shell M-1375.4 other than the dealer, who charges about $700 for a 20L bottle. Has anyone found a place to buy the Shell M-1375.4 ? PS - Bav Auto lists the ESSO LT71141, which is used for the earlier 5 speed X5's, and I believe is incorrect for the 6 speed. Pelican and BMA sell the Pentosin ATF 1, but I've never seen documentation saying the Pentosin is an acceptable replacement for Shell M-1375.4 |

BMP Design for 1 gallon quantities:
BMP design : BMW Automatic Transmission Fluid (M-1375.4) or BMW 1/2 liter bottle p/n 83 22 0 406 929 retail $15.87. I believe you''ll need 9.5 liters. So at BMP = $509.85 (you need 2.5 gallons, but will have to buy 3 gallons) or at BMW = $301.53 (for 9.5 liters) Update: See post # 54 and # 63 here: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...tml#post625724 Last edited by X5 Meister; 12-22-2010 at 12:34 AM. |
