How to Switch to AUX IN mode?

I have a 2004 4.4i E53 with NO NAV , HiFi, TV Function, NON DSP, CD Changer in the rear, and my vehicle has a AUX IN and OUT port in the rear passenger vent area. How do I switch to the AUX MODE from head unit to hear from my ipod? I keep pressing mode but never comes to AUX mode.

having the same problem , I found i can get the sound out of the ipod by selecting tv then you will find one of the tv chanels marked aux ,but it only brings sound through and it sends the screen all fuzzy .
might need a special cable ?

Hi - I was able to get music to play from my MP3 player by switching to TV and switching to the AUX "channel" but the audio quality was not great.

You need to add a seperate audio 'Aux in' for your MP3 player - do a search in the forum for MP3 aux in or go to the following link.

Forgot to say that once you install the new Aux in cable and socket, the Mode button will then select Aux-in mode
