Talking What was your first 'YEAH, BABY!' moment with the X?

In the interest of adding more positive flavor to the forum, I wanted to share my first YEAH, BABY! moment with the X.

Last night, I was on the ramp to get on the 401, and some creep in a tour bus in the right line decides he needs to speed up as I'm running out of lane to enter. So, I stomp the gas.

Next thing I know I'm pressed back against the seat and about 50 yards in front of the tour bus and quickly leaving him in the dust. I could swear my engine sounded happy.

I can only imagine what a total beast the 4.8 must be.

The first moment I had with my X was the test drive before I bought it.

The fact that it was an SUV that rode and drove like my old 330ci with the sport package sold me on it instantly.

I actually never drove one until our '01 was delivered, Sept 2001!

Other than the stump puller 1st gear, that I redlined in, pulling out of the dlr, I have loved every minute of owning it, for 12+ years.

I never drove an X until the test drive at the PO's house before I bought it, much less driven a bimmer (I came from the VW/Audi crowd), but shiftin gears in a SOLID truck like the X sold me, loved the ride of the air suspension, and the 3.0 was plenty quick enough for my needs.

Probably the first time I said "Yeah BABY" was when I got my air suspension ride height control working properly again, and had the pleasure of dropping it to access level when I parked (aka photo op mode), I was like shit, this is awesome, I love air suspension!

Someone hand this man a good cigar. A blog about your X? Now, that's dedication!

When I showed my wife all the features the iS came with. Then plug-in my laptop and lowered it 1" all-around instantly. That's not including kicking a few SUV asses around town

Just a few min after I had bought the 4.8 and took possession of it , I got my first thumbs up at a red light by a pedestrian. I knew I was on to something

When my wife took the X5is out for the first time. She came home and stated, "There is no way your ever letting our son drive this." It is a beast and makes me smile during the Minnesota winters.
