I've got OEM POS on my X. No projectors or HID, yellow corners...I don't even have a friggin sunroof!!! I've been eyeballing factory Xenon's for a while, but it appears its not plug and play for me. I don't have self leveling (even necessary?), so I figured if I get these ebay lights, I can kill four birds w/ one stone....projectors, HID's, angel eyes and clear corners.

Moh,
Luvin your lights man, a/eyes in particular. Pretty much all of us prefacelift owners are striving for this look I'm sure. Yeah, it is a shame about your low beams, GL sorting them out.
Keen to see the outcome of these other projects.
On a side note, your new avatar looks neat too.

Thanks Bernie!

And mine also had a small fingerprint in it but you learn to forget it. Didn't have any glue though..

Yes,
I think I can live with the small fingerprint on the passenger side but glue...
I might be able to "bake" the light and clean the glue or pay for return shipping and get a new one. What would you do?

Why would you pay return shipping. If the sellers product is messed up you should be able to get a free exchange. That's what I would work for. If that doesn't work then I guess pay shipping as long as he guarantees the next product will be fine.

I hope they will pay return shipping...Their return policy -" buyer pays return shipping" but I hope its only in case for a refund but I just want them to replace for a better quality pair
I will let you know the outcome as soon as the seller responds.

Also, looks like I wont be able to "bake" the drivers light to clean the glue due to AE's ballasts inside

I returned the lights back & they sending another pair. Hopefully they will be better quality.

I have one question - it looks like these lights have H7 bulb- can I use my stock bulbs with them? My bulbs are D2S to I could use the adaptor that sells on eBay but that adaptor is only for OEM headlights - I dont think it will work with these eBay lights.

Can anyone tell me how can I keep my original ballasts, wires & D2S bulbs to use with these lights?

You can remove the ballast if you need to...they are held to the housing by 2 metal clips

Weasel will become famous soon enough
I think there are adapters available as I found in this random thread via google images.

here

Otherwise I believe I have the set of aftermarket h7 xenons with ballasts left over from my old E36 aftermarket headlights, 6000k. Don't think that you could wire them up to work without error messages as you had OEM xenon, but I had them wired up in the E36 with no error messages and no problems as I had plain old halogens in there before.

Philly X5, what are the production dates on the back of your OEM lights? If they are from before 10/02 they can be opened and modified. Mine came out great, and the lenses looked brand new after refinishing via sanding down then spraying with automotive clear coat at a body shop. Didn't take pics of lenses after re-cleared before being smoked, but here's some quick pics of what I did.

here and here

I thought about the adapters but I dont think they will fit...with these lights.
I know Dolphin installed them & think he used the OEM ballasts, etc. Hopefully he will see this post and reply.
Cant open the OEM lights - that was my idea but the production date is 08/03
