Bluetooth on the X5
So we have owned our X5 for a year this week.... and since day 1 Agata has been asking me about setting up a bluetooth system, getting a bluetooth ear piece, getting a cradle to hook her phone up to the car... nag nag nag nag nag!
Well until today nothing has been done, yeah I kinda looked into a few options, had Seth check into OEM cradle options etc., but no serious progress. Well today I went to have the car inspected (since it expired in JUNE!) and while looking for the registration for BJ's dad I looked through the owners manual for the first time. Lo and behold there was the white glossy sheet with all the Bluetooth info and passkey I'm so retarded... I called Seth and he told me how to pair, and it immediately recognized my phone. Unfortunately the BT Passkey was wrong. Long story short, I ended up having to check the BT ULF for the correct passkey. Just my luck, it was covered by some large plastic molding and I had to jury rig a solution to get the nuts off since I have about 0 tools. So a year and a day later we now have Bluetooth ![]() Some pics are below, enjoy! The car had it's own tools, who knew :P ![]() Vise grips/needle nos pliers didn't work ![]() ![]() This is what I was trying to get off. It was harder because they were in the bottom of small holes. ![]() I found this socket, and it seemed to fit, but I had no ratchet ![]() ![]() Hmmmmmmmm ![]() GHETTO FABULOUS ![]() ![]() Success!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]()
