2005 4.4 x5 whistling and tapping noise

The high frequency noise you are talking about was another mystery I have had noticed as well and was told it is coming from hydraulics of rear self leveling suspension. Do I need to mention that it is perfectly normal?

hi everyone..i have similar noise...been asking around and was told is normal...i dont know everything and every noise on these cars is normal....mrbmw...where would i find intake boot yor reference in your post..i have a 2005 4.4...and like azx54.4 states i also have hight pitch noises in the cabin only not from radio mine appear to be linked to the hvac system/controls...thanks rob

the fix has been posted here in the past for the noise associated with the HVAC and throttle application. seach for it. I had the problem and it has to do with the HVAC tubes and the driveline/trans location
