Well, that would be stretching the truth a bit. I received a rock chip on my windshield this winter while the hoop protector was on.

I had that same problem, but its a hood protector, it supposed to protect the hood not the windshield. Some little rocks bounce pretty high off the road and it passes the hood protector and hits the windshield directly.
