Objectively speaking:the new CRVs (starting with 2007) are great little mini-SUVs. Practical and safe. They're obviously not chick magnets (or as Borat would say "where do I get this, how-you-call-it, pussy magnet?"). But they fill their safe, suburban, family hauler niche VERY nicely. Basically, it's another winner in Honda's long line of winners. Now, if you had told me you're dumping a 4.8is in favor a CR-V, I would say you are nuts. But if you're looking for practicality right now, get whatever $ you can for the 3.0, and stick with the new CR-V. Then play the lotto so you can add the X5///M to your stable after you hit the jackpot.
