I have approx 22k miles on Latitudes - They are a decent mix (all season) between dry/wet warm weather handling and winter use. 275/40R20's and 315/35R20's. They were very quiet in the beginning and starting to make more noise on the highway but not a significant amount. Probably 30%-35% tread remaining although the rears are worn a little more in the center due to higher winter pressure needed to keep my TPMS from lighting up.
Are your Conti's wearing evenly or are you seeing uneven wear that might account for increased road-noise? If so, an alignment would help keep the wear more even prolong or eliminate most of the road noise past a normal amount. Do you like to push your X around turns frequently or drive gently as a rule? If the latter, the MXV4 is my recommendation. Good luck |

agreed with above.
have mxv4's right now. soft, comfortable, quiet, but handling leaves a bit to be desired. they share lineage with passenger car tires, so the stiffness isn't there latitude tour is for SUV/LT. it will be a bit more stiff, loud, etc... but wear should be decent. If they are the tour HP's, handling should be better than the MXV4, assuming they are stiffer. |

mxv4...Had them since the X, and I have done a little over 70k miles with them...the right front was nearly thread less but I was happy with how comfortable and quiet they were...
Just got new ones about 3 weeks ago for $210 a piece

presently on Latitude HPs. yes, a bit more road noise vs the Diamaris I had, but it does have a more aggressive thread, which is why some snow tires are so loud. I switched mainly because I can get significant rain in SC and feel a whole lot more safer with a tire with much better wet pavement handling. Near the end of the Diamari thread life, I was afraid to come close to the speed limit in wet weather because of the lack of grooves to channel water out from under the tire. Handling still feels good. I had perfect wear with the Diamaris and expect the same with the Latitude HPs, as it's mostly a function of tire pressure and alignment
