Do you have any pictures of your X hauling your toys?

Will post some Pics. Still trying to figure forum features.....The guy I bought the X from told me to expect 25mpg average when I enquired about it, so he has turned out to be true to his word!
When I first got the X I took it on a trip to Scotland, think I clocked about 600k over a weekend, and the computer was reading 33mpg......which pretty much added up to the miles coved & £'s spent.
No major issues with it so far......awesome drive.

I have a 2002 3.0 with 180k miles on it. Had it for 6 years now and have averaged 16-17 mpg with mostly city driving. Just had all the spark plugs and cables replaced and am now averaging 17.5 . Best I have ever gotten on highway driving was 23 on a trip from Houston to Dallas with cruise set on 75. I could probably get better than that if my fellow Texans knew anything about lane discipline. Lol

I have seen that mentioned here, yes. I haven't played in it enough to find it. I only hit reset while on cruise control and see if the avg mph matches the speedometer.
My OBC is usually within .2 or less mpg accuracy, the best of any car I've had.

2005 4.4

Hi guys,

I am getting around 12 mpg around town (fairly brisk driving) and around 18mpg open road travelling an average of 80mph

I read a few posts with guys claiming 27 hwy and 19 cty with the 4.4- are they dreaming ? I dont think so..........

Great car

Cheers

Andrew (South Africa)

This was a personal best for me! This was about 2 weeks after I got my new Kumho Solus kr21 tires installed. I was doing a 7 car caravan (I was the only BMW) to South Hampton, Long Island and we averaged about 60-65 mph to make sure everyone was kept in check. I was the lead car. I reset the miles right after I filled up for the trip to South Hampton. Can't believe that I got 169.4 miles on a quarter tank of gas with a 4.4i!
