Unusual window/door handle prob. Help please..

Could somebody please help me with what seems to be a one off problem with the dreaded window regulator. This time it's the drivers door.

So the window regulator ceases to cooperate (yesterday) and I find myself driving around with the window all the way down. No biggy I figure, I'll fix it first day off work (today).
This morning I did a quick errand and when I did, the drivers side door handle also decided to cease working. It's sort of stuck in a weird position with it sticking out somewhat.

So here's where the 'No biggy' turns bad. I now can't open the door to remove the trim re access to reg. Anybody else experience this?? and if so, what the heck did you do to open the door with a faulty door handle.

In advance thank you.

Foomph
