Everyone,

Thanks for all the helpful info. I am going to call my dealer this morning. If they have no issues with accepting Warranty Direct and plan to keep accepting them in the future, then I am going to pull the trigger and go with the WD 4/100,000 with $200 deductable and full emissions coverage. This plan runs around $2800. It sounds like it may be money well spent. I am now beginning to realize that its a pay now or pay later situation with these vechicles. If you're gonna keep em long term then you're certainly going to pay. I am just choosing to pay now.

Mark

A microphone and 4 million worldwide listeners. I cannot slander anyone of course, but if I get done wrong, more than friends and family are gonna hear about it.

I have purchased several extended warranties and nobody came out to verify the miles. However, if your car is out of warranty, they make you wait a month before you are able to claim anything. So that's the way they control that. On my BMW's, I had always did better with the warranty. And when my X5's warranty is up, I plan to buy an extended one. Just my 2 cents.

md,
Run with the extended warranty that pays the BMW Center or Indy shop electronically via credit card. The last thing that a customer wants is to have to pay for major repairs and then have to wait on the reimbursement check from their extended warranty company. Not a good way of doing business IMO.
