The warranty is a big plus. I had issues with leaking valve cover gaskets when I bought my X5. I couldn't tell until I changed the plugs. The two plugs in the back were covered in engine oil. Exhaust smoked a little because of that. I would assume this type of thing would be covered under the warranty, but seems like a common issue.

GL and enjoy. Don't let the Mod bug bite you, its not cheap.
Hi Hit Redline,

Beautiful X5! I have the identical vehicle that I purchased back in April of this year with similar mileage. Mine also came with the CPO warranty which was very important to me.

I've added the titanium interior trim since and what a difference it makes.

It sure makes me feel good to see quality used 4.8's going for that kind of money

Enjoy your new wheels!

Can anyone else not multiple quote?

Anyway, thanks Hit Redline & m3brad, good points on the warranty stuff. I'll have make sure there is proof of such warranty in the all the paperwork

And appreciate the help everyone has given so far. Will post pics when (hopefully) I have it.

Anything else before I check it out tomorrow?

looks like you have the maintenance plan until 11/05 of this year; if you want to extend it, you definitely should before 5th, as it gets more expensive after it expires.

Here's what has been done in warranty with the car.

China Man,

Just sent you a PM...

Anyway, does that report come straight from the dealer?

Thanks for posting that up, thats a huge help as it helps match up things against the Carfax report.

Any idea what the 'Fuel sucking jet pump permanent malfunction' might be?

Much appreciated...

Update: The car is in my hands now!

Flew over to Alabama saturday morning and was met by the seller, Peter of EuroStyle Motors. He took me back to his house from where he operates the business and had the car waiting for inspection. I spent just under two hours looking over the vehicle in 52º, misting-rain weather. It was completely worth it though and after taking a test drive, the vehicle was indeed in excellent condition.

Settled up with Peter, filled up the tank with premium (I rather like AL fuel prices) and was on my way back home. All in all, a great experience!

I'll just quickly comment of Peter from EuroStyle Motors. He's incredibly knowledgeable on high-end vehicles and anything he has in inventory ( has 4-7 cars at any given time) is topnotch. His has standards that rival (from what I've seen here) most other members' on this forum. This should sum it up: when going to examine the X5, he had printed out the paperwork that China Town had posted above regarding service records. Plain and simply, I would buy another vehicle from him in a heartbeat. Look for his eBay store 'eurostylemotors.'

Thanks also to China Town (Jon) for providing me some really good info and helping to make the purchase easier.

Attached are a couple lacking pics. The weather was lousy so I just pulled the car right into the garage. I happen to think front seats are a good indicator, albeit one of many, of vehicle condition. You be the judge!

See also paint cond on hood and mileage. Will of course get better pics up over the weekend when its clean.
