I agree - if your mechanic couldn't figure out why it would not crank, then I would NOT have him work on the vehicle.

As Weasel said, this is a safety shutoff - I have been rear-ended twice to where this was activated in both cases.

What did cost you get it reset?

Didn't cost me a damn thing in both cases except a lot of hassle!!

Not sure what the exact charge for it was - it was part of the overall repair.

thanks! funny seeing them at the Super 8. they were outside the buses sitting in chairs with little kids riding bikes... kinda weird. I did not want to bother them.

Sorry to hear about your mishap, but glad to see how X5 holds up against being rear-ended. (The exact reason I bought an X5 due to having a baby in the back seat.)

So he lied on the accident report to the sheriff about some big tractor trailer and me being parked in the middle of the highway during rush hour.
Then his report to his Ins.Comp. did not jive with that story...
but here is the kicker, they only told me that because I told them, and sent them, two videos of him telling me and then his daughter on the phone two more variations of his imagination.

so this guy came up with four completely different lies... he's good.

I am claiming $5k in damage. they estimated $4,200.

Boy I love my Iphone
