No, nothing else required but a couple of new hose clips might be a good idea.

2 clips, your dealer will get the correct ones from your chassis number or just get 2 x 10-15mm worm drive stainless hose clips.

I have been getting ready to replace the fuel filter and spark plugs on my 02 3.0 X5. It has a little over 100k. I have looked at a lot of the forums and DIY's from other people. How difficult is the removal process of taking the panels off and getting to the fuel filter? Once you get to the fuel filter is it pretty much straight forward on how to remove it? Did you guys use any special tools like hose clamps or anything? Thanks in advance!

I would be using ramps to lift the car. (drive the front up the ramps) does this give me enough working space to remove the panels and do the job or will it be to cumbersome? I've been told that it is not as easy to do this job without a lift.

I'm looking at replacing my fuel filter as well on my '03 3.0. I've seen two different looking fuel filters online, (1) that is longer and skinner looking that comes with pressure regulator and the (2) is shorter and fatter looking. Is there a difference?? Any recommendation on fuel filter I should use.
