Slight vibration at higher speeds when braking - rotors and pads are new

Ah, glad to hear it. I"m having the same issue. Planning on rebuilding the entire front end next month, all lower control arms, endlinks, and shocks.

sometime overtightening the brake rotors believe or not can be a problem. they should be hand tighten and torqued.

With any vibration/shimmy issues, always begin with wheel balance, preferably on a Hunter with Roadforce. Usually cost the same as the first hour's labor to diagnose the problem. On the five BMWs I've owned over the last several years, I've probably had about a dozen instances of vibration/shimmy, and almost every time it was a wheel balance issue and once a bent rim. Just my own experience, "your mileage may vary..."

+1 to this. Usually it will shake at a very specific speed, and you will get the brake warp feel when hitting the brakes at that speed. Any higher or lower and you won't notice it. My snows do it in the 70-75mph range, I just haven't gotten a chance to re-balance.

my 05 4.4 is doing the same thing;I just ordered aftermarket rotors and green pads from EBC thinking that will correct it. Maybe not; I will let you know!

I had this too. I changed my brakes discs (rotors) and pads and it improved but didn't go. A couple of weeks ago I had to change the sway parts (can't change teh bushes on these) on my rear axle due to worn bushes (in fact they'd completely collapsed 120K miles) since then not a single shake at any speed.
