Tell me more about your project amancuso. I assume you had to do the front and rear wiring conversion too? Why did you go with a trailer module and not just use pins 10 and 12 on the TCM connector? Did you wire both lights to pin 3 on the TCM?

Has anyone thought about wiring the rear foglight to be used as an additional brakelight? E39's do a similar mod, and more brake light visibility never hurt. I have virtually no use for a rear fog in Arizona so was just thinking what else that could be used for...

I don’t have access to coding, so it was worth it to just buy the TCM for $25.00 shipped on eBay.
To use 10 and 12 you have to use NCS Expert to code them to work.

Not really something I’ve considered but that’s an easy one. Just tap the wire that sends the signal on each outer and run the lines into the tailgate, connect to each tail lamp and done.

Copy, thanks. Did you have to add the wires front and rear as in all my reading? I found a 61.35-6 908 767 trailer module on fleabay for cheap enough so I might go that route but NCS Expert is easy for me so that is not an issue. Did you wire your fogs to pin 3? Both of them?

Yes I did the LCM to lightswitch and both tails to pin 3 on the TCM.

Like Ricky Bobby, I had a 5 day cruise thrown in to the mix but I ordered everything from the stealership before leaving. Returned this week and have everything except the light switch still on its way from Latvia. It should be here in a couple of days as tracking shows it has cleared NY Customs and is now in the States.

So I went ahead and did the rear tailgate work and since the OP pictures are all missing now, I took some shots of the work in the rear. I did opt for the Trailer Control Module so it remained more factory. I ran one 14ga wire from pin 3 on the TCM to the center of the tailgate and spliced it out to both fog lights from there. It was fairly easy to run 1 wire through the boot going to the tailgate.

Fired up INPA and activated my rear fog lamp switch (that I am still waiting on) and the rear fog indicator lamp in the cluster lit and looked at the rear and viola! Wiring in the rear is good.
