I actually had an E39 M5 also, then got ride of it for the 740iL. I love the easy maintenance of the I6's. I almost got an X5 3.0/5 (planned to turbo) before the 7, but I found the 98 equipped the way I wanted it, so it was a done deal. I'm looking forward to ditching the auto in my 7 for a 6spd this winter, then i'll only have to worry about the X
What did you use for fluid to soak the parts in anyways? You've mentioned using Esso fluids, so are you against the compatible fluids....Valvoline MaxLife, Castrol Import Multi vehicle and maybe even Redline D4? I've used the Castrol and Redline in other cars, have yet to try Valvoline.
