DSC light refuses to go OFF!!???

Here's the problem:

My battery died. I didn't get to use the X5 for 2 months (except for a washing and wax which was in and out of the garage). This afternoon when I opened the door, the courtesy lights did not go on. Stuck the key in, turned it NOTHING no lights, no clicking NOTHING.

Hooked-up a battery charger. At this point I tested the seat memory - still worked so maybe it didn't drain completely. I let the charger go for 5 hours. Went back into the car and it started with one click.

BUT the DSC light remains ON!!!!
The clock time reads --:--AM, but the radio station memory was retained.

I'm letting it charge overnight. I'll start it again in the morning. Any ideas on the DSC?

the DSC control unit has lost communication with the LWS. the LWS is on a CAN bus communication with the DSC control unit, When you disconnect the battery, or lose power, the DSC lamp will continue to illuminate until you calibrate it. On transfer case equipped vehicles, start the car, and steer the wheels lock to lock and the light will go out.

Hey that worked! The light went off as soon as I turned the wheel fully to the right. Turned it fully to left also for good measure.

THanks.

last night, my wife had left the window open. it rained last night.
left side of the instrument cluster, and all four door liners wet and puddle in the door "shelf"
wiped all and started the engine. the DSC light is on, nothing being reported on the instrument cluster, no OBD error.

I guess I'm one of those few people. Light came on and I couldn't turn on or off using the DSC button so when I got home, I remembered reading this thread, Wallah! Light is gone!!
Thanks much Killcrap!
