Update: After DME resets and harness replacements this time around...

Scoring was found on the eccentric shafts. Both the shafts and levers were replaced on the vehicle. Startup had no problems (atlhough it's a high 29 deg outside). Hopefully everything is great now!

Adaptive headlights all of a sudden stopped working when I brought it in last, which was fixed by a AHL module program. Anybody have such a problem?

When you say stopped working, do you mean the HL lights up but doesn't move to follow the road? Or do you mean not even lighting up?

I'm curious as one of my adaptive HLs stopped following the road but lights up. I think its a bad connection to the internal HL motor or the motor itself.

Any more info on this AHL module program would be appreciated. Thanks.

the adaptive feature didn't work (left/right) when turning the steering wheel

self-leveling (up/down) worked - whenever you turn it on, it went through it's up/down sequence check.

I picked my car up yesterday from the dealer. It was with them for four days. They replaced all 16 intermediate arms but left the existing eccentric shafts. The master Tech at the dealership performed the service. He showed me the 16 arms that he took out and there was hardly any obvious wear.....hmmm.

The car started up great this morning @32 degrees. It certainly appears to be smoother right after start up. Time will tell.....

On my 4.4 2006, I also experienced some cold start/rough idle/misfire issues. All symptomes pointed to the ccv/oil separator. My dealer installed an improved crankshaft casing and a battery powered heater on the ccv valve. They also replaced 2 eccentric shaft and 16 intermediate levels.

Even after this big upgrade, I still have some problems in the morning on the very first start, when the temperature is below 40. Engine starts and the idle stays at around 800 for 20 seconds. Then, when it drops to 550 and becomes uneven, rough and fluctuating. If I put the transmission to Reverse to get out of the driveway, the engine would stall or would have no power. If I stop and restart, things come back to normal.

Again, my dealer did a great job of digging SIBs and Engine code and they replaced/improved pretty much everything they have found but we are still chasing a ghost.

Any insight will be appreciated.
