Since it also is still under the factory warranty / maintenace program, I took it to my local dealership and they were amazed by its condtion and even commented that it was stored correctly. To be on the safe side, I replaced the tires with Michelin Latitudes (need an all season tire in NJ) and the battery. I do plan to put the 4.6is wheels on it as I prefer them to the 4.8is wheels. I also plan to have some Dinan mods very soon. I never thought about the possibility of getting it CPO'd. Would you mind sharing some details on the process.
Again, congrats on your purchase.
Cheers.

Hi Bruce! Great to hear of another success story with a car from Gregg; I actually live in NY, so we're quite close!

I had Michelin Latitudes on my previous 06 4.8is, and found they ride much nicer than the diamaris, albeit the slight decrease in handling. If you need a set of 4.6is wheels, I have a set of Style 87's sitting in my basement; maybe you wanted to trade + cash from me or something? Gregg is truly a gentleman, and has been nothing but the most patient guy throughout the entire process. My dealer made the same comments regarding storage; apparently Gregg started these X5s up once in a while, and moved them around to prevent flat spots from forming on the tires. I'm assuming your car probably had one oil change in the last 3 years as well, so you'll have the same issue regarding CPO that I did. The dealer will have to pull the valve covers, and send pictures of inside to BMW NA, for them to OK certification.
Where are you located in Jersey? I heard he still has 2 silver ones, 1 black one, 2 lemans blue, and 1 more imola red.
