GPS UPGRADE TO E53 WITH 16.9 & TV, POSSIBLE?

I have an 01 E53 running a MK III unit, I have just purchased a MK IV and I understand it is a straight swap!?!

My friend has an 02 E53 without NAV, he has the 16.9 colour screen with TV. Is his car prewired for the MK III unit?
