OK, well here's a theory, we all know that plastics deteriorate when exposed to extremes when it comes to temperature - hot & cold. Well, an interesting question would be whether those without failures have their X's parking in a garage overnight and weekends? If most of those that have failed window regulators have X5's that are parked outside in extremely cold climates or very high heat during the day could explain a few things. Our X has 97K miles is garaged and we've never had a regulator failure (knock on wood), and the truck has obviously been driven since we have nearly 100K miles on her. Just a thought?
