I bought a set of these for my winter set-up this year. So far I please with them. They are bit louder than my prevoius set, Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow. I drive over a mountain pass once a week and so far they haven't done me wrong. I did however get a reallignment (camber as close to zero as possible) this year simply b/c I was tired of spending $2K each year on a new set of winter tires. I'm hoping to get 2 seasons out of these...

I just bought some DWS's last week to replace my MXV4s. So far I love them. Much better traction in the dry and wet and hopefully I will get to test them in snow soon.

I think my next set (to replace the Latitudes) will be the Conti DWS's. The stats and price are just too hard to ignore. So far, my Latitudes are already starting to wear out at around 24kmi and I'm hoping to get them to 30k before biting the bullet.

Tire wear being premature put aside.... What were your impressions on the latitudes?

I too am on the market for tires. I was so close the purchasing Bridgestone Alenza or Sport. I haven't given the Contis a thought but they are German, can't go wrong with that!!! Do you think the Alenzas will be too SUV and not SAV?

*** The MXV4 plus are absolute garbage in wet and light snow. Heavy snow, leave it in the garage!!!!***

They ride great, are much quieter towards the end of life vs the Diamari's, but I feel that the sidewalls are weaker during cornering. It feels as if they are laying over during hard cornering where the Diamari's did not feel this way. Without data however, I cannot say for sure. This is just my feeling. Overall I was happy with them, but I'm still leaning towards giving the Conti's a try.

I am ready to buy some too...I live in Florida...NO snow but rain. I'd rather have a tire with good wear (put 20K / year on it) and low noise.

Thoughts (again!)?

Thanks!
