Door Handle carrier - again
Well I re-checked my door lock and the replacement drivers door handle carrier has failed (my own fault for using a second hand unit). I checked with the dealer on Saturday morning and it looks like a replacement is on back order with BMW and may take 5 to 6 weeks. So, before I strip the car down again, does anyone know if the door handle carrier from the rear door will fit in the front (I'd rather that was broke rather than mine) - there doesn't appear to be any difference on the realoem parts diagrams even though the part numbers differ. Cheers Mike |

Can't say for sure but the shape may be a bit different between front and rear carriers. The carrier fits snug to the door skin so if the profile of the skin is different on each door - the carrier shape would also be different. Different part numbers would suggest they are not the same.
Only one way for you to find out for sure.....
