2005 4.4 x5 didnt start this morning

I have had startup misifire problems with my truck like many others. Dealer replaced intermediate levers a month ago but problem never went away. took it to the dealer again, they said intermediate lever settings were not correct...they readjusted the settings..kept the truck with them for 10 days...

finally got it back last week.. drove it once last week without problems. but couldnt start it up today at all... it acted as if the battery was dead but i see the "air bag " warning sign on dash.

late 2005 4.4 model with 55k miles.

thanks

My 06 4.4 is in the shop right now with rough idle/hesitation issues. As far as I am concerned it can stay there !
My loaner is an 09 335 sedan w/sport package. OMG this car is great.

If I could put a trailer hitch on a 335 I would be sold !

they said most likely a dead battery/electrical issue. will take it to the dealership tomorrow.

I did get new loaner as well but i would rather have my truck.

they told me the battery had no juice in it but there nothing wrong with it
. energy diagnosis didnt show any unusual draw either. As i had posted recently, i did experience cold start misfires recently and they ended up changing the intermediate levers. would misfires damagae the cells?

Vehicle does not contain power module or intelligent battery sensor. An energy diagnosis is therefore impossible on any e53 x5.

I think i found the cause of my dead battery. It seems like I have alarm problem. i noticed my x5 set off an alarm about 2 hours ago. I reset it and then put it in the garage. half hour later i heard it do it again. by the time i got out to garage, the sound had disappeared but lights were flashing. This could explain the dead batteries .

As far as battery tests are concerned, that is what I was told .

I got my X5 back from having the low speed hesitation/ rough idle looked at.
They fixed the rough idle by bumping the idle by 50rpm, it idles super smooth now like I would expect a BMW to idle.
They unfortunately did not duplicate the hesistation issue and there were no codes in the computer

I just changed out my battery today. Twice in the last month I go out to start it and nothing. I charged it up with my charger and noticed it would only charge up to 50%. I ran it for a while and it ran fine. I took it out, went to my auto parts store and they said it was fine, but the top little window was black. I said screw it, since it's an 05 and still the OEM battery, and bought a new one. I did a parasitic draw test and it showed good. Now with the new battery in there I'm showing 14.6 volts and started strong. I hope that is y only issue lol
