Uhhmm, no I'm not trying to be funny. I should have been more clear.

12MPG is combined city/highway driving but mostly city. Highway only mileage I've never really payed attention. I think it would be around 20MPG if I kept it below 65-70MPH. Like I said, I really don't know.

MAF = Mass Air Flow

BTW ... I'm sure this question has been asked before but here's another recent thread about mileage:

From Point Reyes Station, CA to San Francisco, by way of Oakland I averaged 34 mpg. on Saturday! Confirmed via the on-board computer.

I was driving at a steady 75 mph. with 4 adults in the car. The drive was about 50-miles, give or take, with some stop and go traffic towards the end.

It could be correct, but you can hardly travel only 44 miles and make an accurate calculation of MPG's. I generally get more accurate calculations when traveling at least 200-300 miles. As mentioned earlier, terrain, traffic, speed and temperature can greatly affect mileage. I once calculated our old Pilot's mpg at a whopping 44mpg. However it was coming back from Tahoe to the Bay Area...not a real representation buit was still pretty cool.

I love the 35d, if money permits, maybe ill be getting one! LOL.. dont worry i like jokes too!

P.S. 44 miles isnt a fair representation of MPGs your right, pretty soon im taking a trip to Laughlin Nevada and ill get a more accurate representation of my mpgs!

Another thing to remember, if you are calculating mileage, pump as close to the same level as the previous fillup. A good measure is to fill till the pump clicks and stop. Not real scientific but it works. Or even better, use the same pump and do the above.

23 mpg....attainable without much traffic on the road. Also, that drive is relatively easy on the car since the only time you're climbing up the road is before the 57fwy and the 605 interchanges.

I wonder if you got the same mileage back....then again its more steep heading east than west on the 10..
