ARE REPLACEMENT INTERMEDIATE LEVERS DIFFERENT
Based on the SES light coming on for a few days then going out (no misfiring or rough start I could notice), and a stored fault code my 2004 X5 4.4 has been diagnosed by the dealer as needing replacement intermediate levers. Of course my car is a couple of months beyond Certified warranty and at 50,000 miles
My question is are the replacement levers being sold now redesigned or manufactured to better quality control than those originally equipped?
In other words, can I expect the replacement levers to fail in another 50K miles?
thanks,
JimL
