Sorry to drag up a really old thread (doesn't time fly?) but does anyone else have any more input on the Nankang SP-5?

Looking at tyres and the prices range from around $250 to over $820 a corner, and while I don't expect $800 performance from a $300 tyre, I'm hoping the Nankang SP-5 might be reasonably OK.

Currently have Maxtrek Sierra S6 and would run them again but I cannot find a local supplier...

I bought a set for my X5 (18") last year and they are doing great as far as I'm concerned.

Paid ~$380 for the set of four from Discount Tire on eBay (with free shipping)

They also did well in the Wisconsin snow this past winter.

IMHO, a great value in a daily driver tire that has decent tread wear, traction and temp ratings.

I have maybe 10K miles on them so far.

I see that they are about $120 each with free shipping now so they must have gotten good demand on them.

1x Nankang SP-5 255/55R18 109V XL All Season High Performance Tire 255/55/18 | eBay

This looks decent with a 540 tread wear rating for about $93 each

2 NEW 255/55-18 MILESTAR MS932 SPORT 55R R18 TIRES | eBay

Thanks Mike - just what I was hoping to hear.

Except for the price bit - I'll pay about four times what you did!
