2005 4.4 Sport (driven like I stole it)
15 City 21 Highway From what I'm seeing the 3.0 doesn't get any better mileage yet gives up significantly in the power dept.

I get over 600 kilo's on a tank (2005 4.4), combined city/hwy. My buddies 2006 3.0 has never gotten more than 550.
I was told long before I started searching for my 2005 that the 8 gets better mileage than the 6. Should be no surprise. |

16.2 in city/mixed driving and 24 on highway. The truck sits on 20" wheels though.

Do larger wheels improve your mileage? because that is 15% better than what I'm getting on stock wheels.

The 20" wheels should be heavier and therefore requires more power to push them. Assuming the diameter of the wheel/tire combo, you should be losing some mileage on larger wheels (if their heavier)

2006 4.8is Mostly City driving. Just had alignment done. Didn't reset the OBC yet. BTW, how do I reset it anyway? Going to do plugs, clean Maf, new air filter, and run some injector cleaner. We will see. Only had the car about a week. So need to do some maintenance. But yea 10.6mpg sux. Glad I know where to get more fuel. lol. |
