Rebuilding '01 4.4L Looking for Rings

Short story, blew a head gasket and now rebuilding 110K motor. The only part I can't find so far are new rings. Anyone know where I can get rings for a 4.4L?

I know that Pelican parts has many piston rings in stock:
Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW

Would be surprised if they have not a set for your X.

OK. Pelican has them @ $119.25/piston or $954. I may have to keep mine...

You can also try to contact piston manufacturers (Ross and JE for instance in the US) or maybe piston rings manufecturers (I can't remember the name of the main one in the US), maybe a lot cheaper. Piston rings are universal most of the time, you have just to choose between cast, chromed and other models.

www.bavengine.com

They are the ones who completely rebuilt and modified the engine in my 98 740iL. Unfortunately, last I heard, they've started outsourcing their rebuilding services. Also, following the links to their MaxSil pistons (www.bmwpiston.com) forwards me to a Japanese porn site and the site www.bmwengine.com is broken as well I just tried calling them to see if I can leave a voicemail, but they're number doesn't have a machine where a message can be left. Hopefully someone answers during the daytime and you can find what you're looking for. I believe they are Sealed Power piston rings, which I've seen at machine shops before, so I'm assuming they're of good quality.

EDIT - Found this when searching Google http://www.federalmogul.com/en/After...erPistonRings/

I got a hold of MaxSil Pistons and they do not just sell the rings. Funny thing is they have the standard pistons + rings for $1000. That's only $46 more than the ring set from the dealer.

Sealed Power/Federal Mogul is who made the rings for my engine, or at least that's what's listed on the BavEngine website. Have you tried the link I posted above to SP/FM?
