Sat Nav

I have not heard anyone else install it , look almost too good to be true....yet when you look at the specs , it would appear that you will loose your on board computer functions / data....

I am a member of the E46 board and there is a lot of talk about a HU by Dynavin. In fact there have been several installed locally (NY area) in E46's and thusfar, with the exception of some firmware issues that have been addressed in Rev 1, they seem to be performing as expected. Now I do not mean to say that this is an exact fit over to an X5, but it does sound encouraging that there is a manufacturer who believes there is a market out there for a OEM-look unit with all the bells and whistles available in aftermarket not limited to Navi, Bluetooth, DVD video, sat radio, USB ports and (coming soon) internet access via an inline 3G modem. That actually looks good. I hope they keep the "indent" across the face where the woodgrain ends when they create the X5 version, kinda like they did with the E46.

Has anyone found out about this Unit? My Nav and radio just went out and I am looking for some options. I spoke with the dealer (good friend) and he said that he thought there were some aftermarket units that will display the onboard computer info. I am interested! Please let me know.

I would feel more comfortable purchasing a Dynavin unit specific for the X5. Maybe if they get enough inquiries regarding one they will make one...

主题: Dynavin Unit for BMW X5
To Whom It May Concern at Dynavin,
I really like the units you produce for the BMW E39 and E46. There are a large number of us on xoutpost.com that are avid BMW X5 enthusiasts, and we were wondering if you were considering manufacturing a unit for the E53?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Regards,

Brian

Thats great news.

I was looking at these on youtube (for e46) and they are not bad. Looks like its time for my OEM unit to go...

Lets put a group buy for these.
I am in!
