Hard to make a decision based off of a drawing. Are there any real pictures of it? or any install pictures? Very interesting though. Just looks like a double din unit. There are many very nice double din units out there for an aftermarket dvd/sat nav solution.
if it keeps the factory look and can be a plug'n'play product and its available for around 1k then its a very viable option. I think our factory DVD nav hinging on outdated. It still works but man, its not really keeping up with the times very well. I like the integrated BT and DVD drive. Would be nice to see if it could output rear headrest monitors.

Thats an picture of the actual unit not a drawing. The screen is 7" in and its much wider then the aftermarket headunit thats 7" in. It should fit into the X5 slot like original fit. Just like the OE head unit. Plus it keeps alot of the factory options, cd changer and tire pressure sensor. Plus the cost should be less then 1000. Maybe even a group buy for much less. I am working with the manf. to see if we can get that.

who makes this unit? Looks almost like pioneer?
What are you smoking? That's clearly a rendering (aka a drawing).
I like the idea. If the unit has the same texture/material quality as the OEM finish with matching lights, composite video in, and it comes with Garmin nav interface, I'm totally in
