HELP!!! CV Joint(Outer) reassembly
So I followed the manual to the t, everything was cleaned out, and now the part where you put it back together.. That's where I ran into the problem.. If you search the CV boot replacement here, it shows what it would look like if you took out the races and bearings out of the cup.. Can anyone help?? I just need to get to the starting point.. Where you align everything to start dropping in bearings...
Thank you to anyone who can help!!! |

OP, I admire your thoroughness. I just buy the entire axle assy when I do this job . . . much cleaner, faster and you get all new parts, not just a new boot. The complete axle assy is cheap too! Also, to avoid the old saying "You can F up a ball bearing!"
