Can I paint my exhaust tips?
I have a 2001 X5 3.0 and my exhaust tips and the mufflers look light brownish/grey. They are looking discolored, and I want to spray paint them black like they were when new. What do you suggest? Please let me know if this can be done? Espesially the mufflers.

You can make it with a silicone based paint (colors : black or aluminium).
Just ask for a silicone high temperature spray paint to your industrial stuff local distributor. ;o) Stf. |

you can remove (wet sand paper)the discoloration down to the bare stainless and have you tips polished. If you are going to do it yourself you need an Orbital poilisher and metal cream. |
