I am going to take X5meister's advice and go to by local BMW-D and order one to fit the 04 X5 and try to install. If it fits, great if not, Ill opt for the clear poly.

Just make sure:

1) To ask if its returnable BEFORE you order it. For example,if its considered a special order item usually you can't return those items.

2) If you can return it, don't actually install it right away. Just hold it in place and see if things line up correctly. If it doesn't and you try and return it, they can't say "well, we can't accept it because its already been installed".

Just for clarity, I am going to order the 1 for the 2005 model (the dealer said there is not one made for 06) as they have stock of the 05 bug deflector. I will size it once I have in my position, prior to installing and see if the fitment is correct.

I will let you know when I have completed or not able to.
