Youre on the right track, it should go in exactly as the old one came out. I found that removing the plastic/rubber flaps that guide air from the grille into the radiator makes it a lot easier.

Where's the DIY on the site? I recently got my car back after doing some servicing. Seems the aux fan isn't working and if I can do this myself for $325 installed that'd be awesome.

Just an update and FYI, I was waiting for this to come back in stock, they now have them again. They directed me to EBAY where I purchased the fan for 265.00 plus 20.00 for shipping, now that is a DEAL!
Im hoping this solves my issue of the aux fan not coming on when I run the A/C.

![]() However, I would not buy the cam position sensor, the one I bought was junk and ended up buying OEM from Bavauto. This seems to be consistent with other findings- anything other than OEM is not the way to go for complicated sensors like this. ![]()

Hopefully that one is better quality, mine seems to have failed already. I am not sure if I want to use another ebay fan or have the system checked to ensure something else isnt wrong...
