Where to Buy Air Suspension beside Arnott and Dealer

Hi,

It seems like Arnott is out of air suspension (front) for the X5 4.8is. They say the core is hard to get. Stealer wants 1400$ cad for each side.

Anyone knows where I can get new ones or rebuit ?

Check out ebay. Search under "X5 Front Air Strut Remanufactured" and you'll find a bunch for $399. BTW ... the description says the struts are from Arnott Industries.

I would say take out your struts out and send it to Arnott they will re manufactured them and you dont have to pay core i think you can have them back within a week or so, Thats what i would do.

Update: I noticed the ebayer only had the left side listed. Emailed him and he says he has both sides in stock. He just didn't do a listing for the right side.

Has anyone used the arnott front air suspension kit? It seems like the front drivers side is starting to leak on my x5. I am looking at my options of either buying OEM or from arnott. I am just curious to hear from anyone that has installed the air strut from arnott.

Replaced both front air struts. Received my core refunds promptly. No problems here.

Thats reassuring to hear. It seems like the arnott one are absolutely fine plus you cant beat the price!! I think I will be ordering the left front tomorrow. Did anyone install the air strut themselves? I might install it myself. If so, any info would be appreciated.

I just ordered the passenger side front on wednesday, I am getting it today and going to install over the weekend, then sending my core back, they should recieve it mid next week. maybe you can call see if theres anybody in front of you in line and get my old one once it's refurbed...
