Anybody out there who have remote starters on their X?

When I lived in Japan in '03, I had a friend who installed remote starters on a bunch of X's...400 bucks a pop + parts...I think it had some kind of effect on the alarm though...

i had mine installed when i got the X, very usefull the only thing that i don`t like is that you have to hide one of your keys in the car, like the valet key for example and to me that bring the security down
as far as i know that is they only way the dealers do it..

because the computer checks for the presences of the micro chip inside the key to be able to start the car.

My installer removed the chip from the valet key and placed in the bypass module that is placed near the steering column. Gonna get get to hook up the seat warmers next.
