Alarm issues
Today I used a Launch Autobook Scan tool to reset my SRS light and while I was looking around the menus I clicked on the coding menu and the following message poped up "Important: With coding be means of the ZCS/VO, the changes made using the CAR/KEY MEMORY program can be overwritten. These the are to be reset as required. So I back out of that and didnt do anything but now when I disconnect the scan to the alarm goes off. Also with the tool disconnected the windows wont roll up or down and the lock button on the key and in the car wont function. My question is is there something I can do to fix this I have look through every menu on the scan tool and can figure it out. I really dont want to have to go to the dealership if I dont have too. Thanks in advance for any help.   Ryan

It almost seems like the key lost initialization and/or isn't seem as a "good" key by the alarm system... which might be coincedental and might not. I have no experience with the autobook. Does the X start?

Yes it starts and runs and operates like normal if you have the autobook pluged in ( the scan tool doesnt even have to be turned on just pluged in). As soon as you unplug the tool the alaram goes off and then the central locking and windows quit working.

Wow, that is weird... Maybe the autobook had pulled something out of coding when you almost started the coding session that interviened with the EWS/DME pairing and/o rolling codes?
Maybe try going back in to coding and see if there is an option to align DME and EWS.

I figured it out. What happen was the scan tool's data cable had a power plug on it for a cigarett lighter and I wasnt thinking and pluged it in to the lighter and when I did the power coming from the obdII port arced on the bezel of the lighter and blew the fuse for the OBII power and other devices. The reason that it would work when the tool was hooked up was that I was still pluging in the lighter plug and powering the curcit from the back side. Thanks for the Help this site is the best.
