Not that hard. Just remove I think 3 bolts and thats it. Worth the 5 minutes spent. Besides I think the cap can be removed but trying to remove the bulb assembly would be pretty hard.

Look here for the 3 places:

Absolutely have to remove the screws and move the bracket. Can't get in there with it there. Move it towards the Engine a little and then good to go. While it was out I tightened the shitty clamp for the power steering hose to the resevior that kept leaking and the dealer couldn't seem to fix.

my drivers side angel eye is out as well. Can someone tell me what the OEM bulb type is? Do I need to replace the whole connector or does the bulb just pull out?

It's just a bulb. You should just order the LED ones while your at it...
