That's the iBus connector. You have to connect that to keep the unit running and also use the steering wheel controls.

For the 40 PIN Connector; What is the connector for inside the red circle and the 3 loose wires green, white and purple for? I don't know where to plug them. where do you use or connect them specifically??

LUCKY!!!

Mine was updated to shipping, so I hope it shows up soon. Lets know how your install goes.

I'm not sure if there are any 'local' suppliers in the US. I bought this from ebay and it shipped 4 days via UPS. Not too bad. Check out ebay and search for BMW DVD GPS NAV in that order ad you'll see a lot of ebayers selling these Hualingan units.

Go one ebay and you will find some local resellers or try bimmernav. No idea what aaa is for your location, would be better if you use your real location for many reasons.

Bimmernav does not carry the Hualingan unit, they sell the Dynavin unit only.

They sell both, just added the Dynavin recently. Hualingan $625 and $699 for the Dynavin.

I still like more the 7in screen vs. 'forheaded' 6.2 one but I will probably buy one just to compare the two. Do you know what warranty bimmernav offers? In their warranty page they mention that it's through the manufacturer, I guess you have to ship it to China.

Bimmernav.com Online Store

"Non-BimmerNav-brand products: The guarantee or warranty of non-BimmerNav brand parts are the sole responsibility of the original manufacturer and are limited to whatever coverage they provide. "

Completely different item, but I purchased a motorcycle stand at Harbor Freight for $30 that said Made in China on the box. I needed spools, but HF didn't have them, so I went do the street to a dedicated motorcycle store for spools. I saw the EXACT same stand on their shelves, $110 more and had a cute little hang tag and a sticker on the side saying made in the UK. It's probably the same unit, just a reseller.
